Hey guys, I've just downloaded your album "The Electric Sleep" at iTunes and I have to say: it really is the most varied piece of music that I have payed attention to since quite a long time. I can realize a lot of Stoner-Rock-influences as well as a bit of Zeppelin and of course a heavy load of the original Black Sabbath. Nevertheless, you successfully prevented yourselves from vanishing your own identities under influences of other artists. There is still a good share of stuff that I concider as your own outcome. Although, one exception has to be mentioned: the title track itself: "The Electric Sleep". If this had seen the light of the day under the banner "Black Sabbath", no one would have even thought about asking for its real origin. Stunning! I'm glad to see, that there is another Canadian Band besides Rush I have to add to my "favorite-bands-list". Thank you guys for your music. Will there be a posibility to see you live in Germany? You guys rock!I love the fact that Steve sings like Ozzy.I think it is awesome rather than a rip off clone.I mean how many sing like Halford,Dickinson,Dio,Geoff Tate,Brian Johnson,Bon Scott,Lemmy,Eddie Veder, and Kurt Cobain?Don't get me wrong because those guys are legends and icons. But,when someone wants to sound like Sabbath or Ozzy, people bitch. But,for the last couple decades how many have mimicked Iron Maiden,Motorhead,Judas Priest,Metallica,AC/DC,Rainbow,Deep Purple,Led Zeppelin,Motley Crue,Sepultura,Nirvana,Rob Zombie,Pearl Jam,Kiss, and whoever else? Doom Metal is the best. The Thrashers don't compare.Speed Metal is more Punk than Metal.I think those guys are good at what they do.But,who has more of a Sabbath influence?Bands like-Pentagram,The Obsessed,Candlemass,Trouble,St.Vitus,Place Of Skulls,Saviors,The Sword,Earth,Spiritual Caravan,The Hidden Hand,Cathedral,Rev.Bizarre,Electric Wizard,My Dying Bride,Priestess,Church Of Misery,Death Row,and of course-Sheavy! I hope the best for this group. It's sad more people don't know who they are.Doom Metal does not get the credit it deserves. But,someday it might change.I hope major labels will take notice and let the bands have creative control. It can not stay underground forever. If Sabbath made it,so can the rest of the Doom movement. Success is not the same as selling out.It should be a good thing to a band to sell more than 20,000 copies.I hope more will investigate independent music as well. Many will not go into what isn't popular. With the return of "Headbanger's Ball" things have gotten better.I hope Ozzy finds out who Sheavy is.These guys can not go unheard of forever.
